Die Räuber
Drama by Friedrich Schiller.
In this play, the two siblings could hardly be more different. Karl Moor is a non-conformist, rebellious, misanthropic young man who cherishes his freedom above all else. His younger sister Franza, on the other hand, feels ugly and unloved because her father favours Karl. While Franza plots against her brother and father at home, Karl retreats into the woods to form a band of robbers. They both rebel against the social order in their own way. After years as a robber, Karl returns home. He discovers his sister's schemes and vows to take revenge. The family's destruction is now inevitable.
