Das Tier von Trier
Juri the diver wants to perform in the big gala concert at the theatre. However, the conductor sends him home because he doesn't own an instrument and can't sing. Juri searches for the animal of Trier at the bottom of the Moselle, which is said to possess a fabulous treasure trove of sounds. Juri wants to borrow this treasure trove for the concert. Suddenly, his diving watch malfunctions, sending him 200 million years into the past. He finds himself in the Bay of Trier in the Jurassic Sea. In the primeval sea, Juri encounters all kinds of strange and dangerous animals who all want to come to the gala concert. The largest and most dangerous of them all — the Monster of Kockelsberg — finally reveals where the Animal of Trier can be found. This commissioned project sees children and young people with no prior experience of classical music perform a piece specially composed for them. It offers orchestra musicians, children and young people the opportunity to meet, express themselves musically and learn from each other.
